Help encourage a young reader this summer, by helping with Project Transformation at St. Mark’s UMC in Mesquite during the mornings of July 21-24.
Our church will provide volunteers (adults and youth) to help the children read during 10AM - Noon. You can volunteer for one or more days. Please sign up at church or at our on-line registration.
Writing Checks - Remember Our New Name

This means that from now on any checks written out to the church need to be made out to "Good Shepherd United Methodist Church." Please note that the bank WILL NO LONGER honor checks made out to "First United Methodist Church of Lucas." Thank you for your cooperation.

Wednesday Bible Study 7-7:45 PM June 25 - July 30

Come for one, a few or all classes whatever your summer schedule permits. One episode will be viewed for each class before discussion along with Bible references. The series, which focuses on the wise and kindly Sheriff Taylor, his hyper deputy, Barney Fife, and Andy's son, Opie, has remained on the air in syndication since its original run ended in the late 1960s after eight seasons.
