The purpose of Good Shepherd Learning Academy (GSLA), a ministry of Good Shephered UMC, is to provide developmentally appropriate learning opportunities for children which are intellectually stimulating and spirtually nurturing in a secure and loving environment.
Our Staff loves working with young children. The teachers have early childhood development educationn and receive at least 15 hours of training each year. All staff members are CPR and First Aid certified.
Registration and monthly fees for 2, 3 and 4 year olds depend on number of classes each week. Classes meet from 9:15a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Children can be dropped off starting at 9 a.m. Parents supply a nutritious lunch.

The Registration and Supply Fee is turned in with the completed pre-enrollment form. This reserves a place for your child. When classes are full, a waiting list will be compiled.
- Nine monthly tuition payments are made. To facilitate planning, the same amount is paid each month, regardless of number of school days in the month or number of days the student is in attendance.
- 15% discount for each additional child.
- Tuition is due on the first of each month (Sept - May) and is late after the tenth. A late fees will apply after the 10th of the month.

- Parent fellowship Tuesday mornings.
- Intimate envriching environment.
- Cooking classes supplement math, reading and science skills.
- Introduction to Spanish and German.
- Special activities include: Fire Truck Day, Pajama Day, Western Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Programs, Open House, Graduation and special presentations.
Location Good Shepherd United Methodist Church of Lucas is located at 750 West Lucas Road, Lucas, TX. 75002. Our church is just east of Country Club Drive (FM1378) on the north side of West Lucas Road (Bethany becomes Lucas Road or 1378).
